Google just rolled out real-time within their Google Analytics platform. It’s a move that should not necessarily be a suprise, and was a logical next step for Google Analytics – but will also place them in direct competition with the likes of Chartbeat and Woopra.
Google Analytics Real-Time will allow you to better asses when to reengage your users, or the impact of your last tweet. As more data becomes mobile, ubiqutous, and real-time this tool will help marketers asses their site information on the fly and be able to make informed decisions.
Unlike Woopra or Chartbeat, Google Analytics Real Time will be free for standard users. Here are some screenshots from the announcement of the Real Time feature:
If you are interested in getting access to this feature, according to John Jersin, Product Manager on the Google Analytics team:
We just turned the reports on for a number of you, and over the coming weeks, everyone will have access to Real-Time.
Are you planning to use Google Analytics Real-Time?
